It’s easy to buy a pretty notebook and a blingy pen for your gratitude journal. But if you aren’t tuning into the feelings of appreciation as you write your list you may as well be sitting in a car without the engine switched on!
Gratitude without feeling is as useless as your blingy pen without the ink cartridge. It looks good but doesn’t create anything.
Practising feeling appreciation is ALL ABOUT THE VIBES! When you take the time to really feel the juice of appreciation you literally change your energy field. Try a wee experiment with me now; grab a pen and write down three things you appreciate about your life, just write the words down quickly. Take note of how that makes you feel…
Now, do it again but this time, take a moment after you write each line to close your eyes and bring that scene to life e.g., if you are feeling appreciation for a pet, close your eyes and see them right in front of you, their furry wee body, their adoring eyes or how you feel when they jump on your knee and cuddle up to you. Again, take a note of how you feel and notice that big smile that’s most likely spread across your face. 😊
Can you feel the difference? Congratulations! you have just discovered the transformational power of gratitude; it changes your energetic field. Our heart’s energetic field is proven to be up to 60X stronger than our brain. When our heart centre is open, we feel happier, we are kinder to people around us, we are more intuitive and we are more likely to see the lighter side of life. So, lovelies, the next time you are in a funk, take a moment to really feel appreciation for something in your life and feel the good vibes expand your heart centre and put a big smile back on your beautiful face.
